Tom Gatza creates intimate worlds with his compositions, filled with devotional melancholy and carried by Nordic minimalism. As a composer and musician in the field of popular music, the young Hamburger always has his eye on the song and its melody, while as a theatre musician he hears and uses silence as an element of tension.

It is on the basis of these influences that his debut album "Melodica" finally emerges, named after these striking melodies, which sometimes sound big and powerful, sometimes withdrawn and gentle, but always remain intense. Recorded on an old, venerable piano and with Max Schneider on drums, Tom Gatza creates his own dynamic with the "Melo"-EP, which makes you curious about live concerts as well. Both solo and in the energetic duo setup his music intoxicates and enchants.
